Payment options:

Paypal is our preferred method, because it is a secure way to pay using a credit or debit card.

We also accept personal checks, non-postal money orders, and cashiers checks. BE AWARE that no animals will be shipped until these forms of payment have cleared.

Payment Plans:

Payment plans are offered on orders over $100 only. A deposit of 20% of the purchase price of the gecko is required for the hold to be placed. Holds must be paid within two weeks of being requested. Holds are only offered when payments are done via paypal.

Geckos placed on hold without a deposit will only be held for 24 hours. They will then go back up for sale, and we will not repeat a 24-hour hold without deposit.

Deposits are non-refundable but will be credited towards any other purchase with us (store credit). Deposits cannot be used to put another animal on hold/ or towards a payment plan.

The length of a payment plan varies, but is usually 2-4 weeks. Large purchases are sometimes allowed an extended time period—please inquire.

Shipping:

Shipping is a flat rate charge of $45.00 on any shipment, regardless of the number of animals purchased.

Shipping is only done in the Continental USA. No Alaska, Hawaii or out of country shipments. This includes Canada.

Once an animal is paid for in full, at no additional charge, I am willing to hold said animal until shipping weather is of a safe range. We will only ship when the overnight and daytime temperatures on both ends are between 40 and 85 degrees. A heat or cool pack will be provided if needed.

Shipping is done through UPS Next Day or FedEx Priority Overnight. Email zip code for shipping quote.

On average, deliveries arrive by 10:30AM. Remote areas can have a later delivery time, depending on how far you are from your local UPS/FedEx hub. We are not responsible for carrier delays or other issues with the carrier. Shipping directly to a local hub is possible, and sometimes preferred for those in states with warmer climates.

Shipping is done Monday through Wednesday, no exceptions. Shipments later in the week have the potential to be held over the weekend without delivery, and we do not want to run that risk.

Once payment has been received, please email with correct shipping information and a phone number you can be reached at during the day (this will go on the box). Confirmation also must be made that someone will be there the day of shipping to receive the package on your end.

I am willing to meet up within a reasonable distance for local sales. Meet ups are agreed upon on case-to-case basis.

Guarantees:

Animals are guaranteed to arrive alive and healthy.

If there are ANY issues with an animal upon arrival, we must be notified within two hours of delivery. If an animal is DOA, photographic proof is required within those two hours, for a replacement or store credit is given.

Very rarely, geckos in shipping will sometimes drop their tails due to stress and has no affect of them health wise nor breeding ability, that being said, no compensation will be offered in the case of a lost tail.

Any animal that is described as “Male” or “Female” is guaranteed to be sexed properly. Anything sold as “probable” is not sex guaranteed. Pore sexing is done with a 30x loupe.

Our health guarantee is valid for up to two-weeks. If the animal falls ill within this time period, we require it to be sent back and a store credit will be issued or a equal in value animal. I will cover the shipping charges. Health guarantee does not include outside injuries.

Examples of injuries not covered are (but are not limited to): cat/dog attacks, burns, getting caught in an enclosure door, choking on badly sized feeder insects, tail loss, over heating, or injuries sustained from cage-mates.

Feeding straight baby food VOIDS any health warranty. Our animals are raised on Repashy MRP and we prefer them to be raised on it in their new homes.

Photos of animals are not re-touched to make them appear better then they actually are. I do my best to take accurate photos of each gecko to catch their true colors. More photos can be taken on request, but this is done for serious parties only.

I will not refund or replace a Gecko due to future color changes the gecko may exhibit with age. Geckos will also display darker or lighter colors if they are stressed, etc. This includes firing up, and firing down.

Gecko genetics are guaranteed to come from the parents listed, unless non-specified.

Females sold as virgin are guaranteed to be so. They are not placed with males for any length of time. Virgin females can still lay eggs, but these eggs will not be fertile. Animals sold as proven have produced live offspring in the past.

Breeding Loans

We are willing to do breeding loans, but this is done on a case-to-case basis, with some factors being: overall health, quality of color and structure, and/or lineage of the proposed loaned animal.

We will NOT ship our breeding stock to you. Your animal must be shipped to us, at your expense, return shipping is at the “buyers” expense as well. Please do not inquire about having our stock shipped.

During an offspring splitting, animals may not be picked until all eggs from said pairing have hatched. When all offspring are present, they will be chosen in a series of alternating picks between the two parties, with first choice going to Scaredycat Geckos. There is no standard rate for stud fees, it is done case to case basis, with fee anywhere from 200$ and up. Pick of the litter is another option, but all eggs from the pairing must be hatched.

We refuses to breed females UNDER 40 grams (tailed or tailless), for safety reasons, since all breeding males are close or at 50 grams. Photo evidence of the weight of the gecko must be given before shipment, and if upon arrival said gecko is under the weight required, the breeding will not occur.

When choosing to do a breeding loan, “Buyer” must accept all risks that accompany this. Including death of loaned animal during shipping either way, potential damage done to crests etc during a natural breeding season, and potential egg binding/death.

We will not replace or pay for said animal unless the death had resulted from direct husbandry (IE facility overheating). If the animal dies while in our care, “Buyer” may pay to have a necropsy done by our Reptile Vet. If findings are of a natural death, no replacement or recompense will be issued for the deceased gecko.

In the event of hatchling death, no necropsy will be preformed, and no recompense will be issued, due to the fragile nature of young crested geckos.

We reserve the right to terminate the loan at any point before animal has been shipped.
